In the last few months, Safe Haven Baby Boxes, Inc has received 2 whopping grants–one direct, the other indirect–to fund its baby erasure scheme. It’s not surprising that the non-profit corporation has not announced these grants publicly. If prospective donors saw the big bucks flowing into its big, beautiful money bag,* they might put their dollars into something more helpful, like family preservation projects and support for pregnant women, mothers, and babies in need of material and social assistance, instead of shoving them into the multi-billion-dollar adoption mill.

“No comment” means that Mrs. Kelsey, who brags on social media of her personal and the company’s business “transparency,” doesn’t want anyone digging deeper into her baby box business. That her baby box enterprise set-up is horizontal–that it not only manufactures the boxes but manufactures the moral panic that manufactures lawmakers’ and the public’s enthusiasm to install the boxes that are seldom used to remedy a manufactured epidemic (discarded newborns) that doesn’t exist.

For some time now critics of Safe Haven Baby Boxes have discussed amongst ourselves the possibility that some of these perfectly healthy babies who anonymously arrive pristine and “much loved” in a local box-in-a-wall might be run through the box system via Crisis Pregnancy Centers now nicely known as Pregnancy Resource Centers. CPCs are huge supporters and funders of boxes, under the belief that their availability can decrease abortion (where it’s still allowed),give a “safe option” to women whom they speculate will otherwise dump their babies in a ditch or dumpster if they can’t get an abortion or find themselves in some other undefined crisis.
