- SB912 /SB873/HB1323: Companion bills that amend Maryland’s safe haven law to authorize the use of “newborn safety devices;” increases age of eligible infants to 60 days; requires Secretary of Human Services to issue an annual report on the cost of the program and the number of infants surrendered under the SH law. Passed. Effective Date: October 1, 2024
