Our friends at Adoptee Advocates of Michigan (Facebook) (Instagram) has published a series of graphics exposing the unethical practices promoted by the Safe Haven Baby Box movement–the threats and dangers boxes present to the civil rights of current and future adopted people, their bioparents, and child welfare practice, as well as the motives /powers behind the anti-adoptee baby abandonment box initiative.

Michigan, as of this writing, is the only state with viable SHBB bills running. Nothing will happen there this year, but they will carry-over to 2027. A previous bill was passed in 2020, but vetoed by then Gov Rick Snyder. Since then, several unsuccessful attempts have been made to re-visit.
