City Council not only passed an ordinance to legalize box use in the city–but to appropriate $438,000 to pay for lease, installation, “education” and promotion. This outrageous budget request needs to be withdrawn permanently, or at least postponed for another year. The city should initiate a study of their use and efficacy that include the input of adopted people birth parents, and adoption professional that subscribe to best standards practice. The city has no business encouraging child abuse.
