Abortion abolitionists continue their fantasies about abortion and adoption and abortees and adoptees. After numerous requests to cease and desist, they continue to propagandize adoptees and former and current people in foster care to pimp their agenda. Just stop it!
This time around we have diva Lila Rose (who incidentally opposes contraception) and numerous abolitionist and conservative news sites peddling Wendy’s and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption as allies in their pursuit of mandatory birth.
A little over a week ago I came across the following:
I was curious and aggravated at the all-too-familiar conflation and surfed around for details. My first stop was Life News which carried the story under the misleading headline: While other big corporations push abortion, Wendy’s saves kids through adoption.
Misleading because (1) corporations aren’t “pushing abortion,” (2) the mothers of kids in fostercare are not “abortion-minded” and (3) the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has nothing to do with either newborn adoption or preventing abortion. Its mission is quite clear:
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is the only public nonprofit charity in the United States that is focused exclusively on foster care adoption. Through its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids®, the Foundation provides grants to adoption agencies to hire recruiters who use an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model to find loving, permanent homes for children waiting in foster care.
The Foundation works closely with child welfare advocates and policymakers, provides free resources about foster care adoption; and raises awareness through social media campaigns, public service announcements and events.
The campaign that Life News misrepresents is, in fact, simply a large annual fundraising DTFA partnership with Snapchat through the Wendy’s Cause Cup, a project in commemoration of National Fostercare Month.
Snapchat app users can scan their phone over Wendy’s Snapcode on beverage cups that will alert followers that a donation of $5.00 to DTFA has been made in the user’s name. Fundraising runs through August 5, 2019, and up to $500,000 can be collected.
That, of course, didn’t stop Life News from turning the fostercare fundraiser into an abortion abolition benefit:
Fast-food chain Wendy’s and its partner, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, has at its heart the interests of the children who are frequently trotted out as ‘reasons to abort’ — those who are in foster care waiting to be adopted . . . .
While celebrities are loudly screaming their support for Planned Parenthood and abortion, organizations like the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption are quietly doing the hard work of helping vulnerable children, women, and families in need. Perhaps celebrities should take note and spend less energy telling women they must have abortion to be successful, and spend more time and effort doing the work of supporting women and children whose mothers chose life.
BTW, do celebrities really demand that women get abortions? Source, please!
Moving on . . . .
Glenn Beck’s media empire The Blaze followed up with Amid a sea of companies raising money for abortion, Wendy’s stands up and promotes adoption. Abortion only shows up in the header, but we get the message. The article itself was lifted from Life News and is disjointed and vague. It includes a link to a Family Research Council (misnamed Family Council) list of Planned Parenthood corporate sponsors. Its description of adoption-eligible children is plain weird:
Through Wendy’s Wonderful Kids — a program belonging to The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption—children who belong to a group considered “more difficult-to-place” are given a leg up in achieving adoption.
ARF!
Big League Politics, a far-right website founded by former Breitbart staff, published the provocative headline As corporations endorse LGBT and abortion, Wendy’s chooses to promote adoption, Again, the story is lifted from Life News. It Includes also a quote from longtime DTFA director Rita Soronin from a 2017 interview in Columbus Monthly, with Soronin saying the Foundation “save lives.” In context, however, Soronin was not speaking about abortion but unfavorable outcomes in foster care and aging out of the system.
And what does LGBT have to do with anything?
Red State lifted its story from Big League Politics with While corporations promote abortion, Wendy’s is focused on helping children. Nothing new there but the standout lede:
So many corporations are concerned with embracing causes nowadays, and too often businesses fall into the left’s intersectional concerns, with abortion being a big one.
Color me dense, but I had no idea corpos had gone intersectional, I don’t think Big League understands intersectionalism.
Wendy’s Foundation takes campaign to promote adoptions nationwide is Breitbart’s entry, a standard rip-off of Life News Commenters, however, are imaginative misogynists and.Dem bashers, better than Breitbart could hope to be. Example: Did you know that the government (aka Democrats) is the cause of the high cost of adoption since liberal bureaucrats want to promote abortion and discourage adoption? All along I thought adoption agencies and their hangers-on were the ones who jack adoption costs. Don’t Breitbart fans support the free market?
Another outraged commenter demands that adoptions be free. Take that to Bethany or Gladney and feel the boot!
Here is a very small sample of what passes for adoption discourse on one Breitbart thread.
Patriot•a day ago. This is just grand. Enhancing life instead of Expunging it.
Here I come Constantinople Patriot •a day ago. The DemonRats are experts in expunging and dumping innocent babies.
KnowThyIdiot Patriot •17 hours ago. See, women run around screaming abortion is the only option for them. Also notice, these leftists running around make the argument of “well you conservatives don’t want to pay for them outside the womb!” and completely ignore charitable organizations like this that we donate heavily to.
Anthony KnowThyIdiot •14 hours ago. When they present that argument as to “US” not wanting to pay for it, that is sick. That young baby should not be killed, so either get a job and get ready to support the child you created, or like you said my fellow BB reader, give up for adoption, because we already support the charities. But my money that I earned will not be taken from me to support the child you created directly. I will give it willingly to a charity that targets the issue directly instead of someone using the money for themselves rather than supporting the child.
TheLineIsDrawn•a day ago. Nice, refreshing for a company to celebrate life and contribute to lifting up those in need. Contrasted with other companies who instead choose to promote abortion rights. Ugh.
AlansAmerica•a day ago. Even kids who are not special needs are diffficut to adopt because it costs about $50,000 in order to adopt. IT SHOULDNT COST ANYTHING!
Larry AlansAmerica •14 hours ago. That’s how government discourages it.
Barbara McIntosh AlansAmerica •21 hours ago. Wish I knew why it cost so much money to adopt. Why $ 50,000 ?
AlansAmerica Barbara McIntosh •12 hours ago. It’s $50,000 for the parental training courses that prospective parents are forced to go through. But mostly it is for legal fees. And it varies too. If it’s a private adoption it could cost as little as $6,000 to $8,000. But if it’s through an agency then it’s higher. And then the lawyers. It shouldn’t be that way.
I almost forgot this one:
phil•a day ago. 1 beautiful and wonderful adopted girl for me, loves Trump now, after an attempted brainwashing by her liberal schools.
Speaking of fostercare, Alex Jones of InfoWars piped in:
Leftists who support abortion often argue in favor of the practice because they say it helps keep unwanted babies out of foster care. “Who’s going to adopt the unwanted babies?” is an argument frequently heard from abortionists.
Things went really south then.
Obey the Law. Hurray for Wendy’s. Just for that, I’m going to eat there, today. Wendy’s is saving innocent babies from being torn apart by a vacuum cleaner, so they can just live their happy little lives. God’s greatest gift, life. HURRAY! Plus, they make excellent burgers and chicken sandwiches. Wendy’s, you are a winner.
Perhaps Obey The Law has visited the NotYourAbortee Not Your PosterChild Facebook page?
Catholic Connect posted this on SnapChat and the slug ended up on several sites:
INSTEAD of supporting the sick for-profit abortion industry of Planned Parenthood THIS is what big corporations should be doing for America. Bravo @wendys 🙏🏻 👶🏻

Finally, a cheap-ass video slapdashed by the folks at The Scoop. Its Facebook page claims the video has nothing to do with abortion, even though the title is “Wendy’s supports adoption over abortion” and lifts copy from The Blaze. (“Family Council” is a dead giveaway.)
Excuse me while I digress, but I can’t help myself. The Scoop looks like it’s run out of Mommy’s basement but has 89,000 FB friends. It calls itself “The Voice of the New Counter-Culture. A Conservative Alternative to Buzzfeed.” Hmm, if you say so! A fella named Steeve Strange (seriously! Ed Anger’s’ weird-haircut fake libertarian bastard?), runs the outfit and describes himself as “the Real News Zaddy / CEO” He suggests Scoop “readers” are stupid.
Reading articles is so 2016. Whether you like it or not, no one has the attention span to do that anymore. We break down the most important stories of the day into easy to digest, highly engaging one-minute real news videos.
One of Steeve’s recent important stories-of-the day, but not a video since it would take more than one minute to digest, is about his bickerfest with Laura Loomer, whom he accuses of acting like a SJW. Steeve is looking for Influencers. Should I apply?
I don’t want to get into a controversy over Dave Thomas, the DTFA, or Wendy’s. AdoptionLand, especially adoptees, is divided on that. But the point is that, once more, forced birthers have created a separate reality, solely for propaganda purposes, to conflate abortion and adoption and now fostercare. Are 12-year-olds getting “vacuumed out?” The mediaistas look ridiculous and ignorant, and they don’t care. Who will dare call them on it?
We will.
Nearly the only pushback comes from adoptees who are promptly asked “would you rather have been aborted,” told to STFU, and blocked from the convo. No one ever asks would you rather have been kept in your family?
Forced birthers, at least those who run the game, know exactly what they are doing. Spinning and lying. The rest follow.
Unfortunately, the “liberal media” doesn’t do much better, but that’s a subject for another day.
